The project involves growing cells in culture under various conditions to increase sensitivity to toxicants and reveal potential mechanisms. Endpoints will include assays utilizing several plate reader formats as well as NMR. This is a 9-11 week, paid internship beginning in June 2012. Housing will be provided to those who meet distance requirement. REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Molecular and Investigative Toxicology Intern Required: * Currently pursuing minimum of a BS/BA in Chemistry, Biochecmistry, Biology, or related discipline. * Candidate must have laboratory skills/experience in an area of cell biology, mechanisms of toxicity or biochemistry. * Must be available for a period of 9-11 weeks, beginning June 2012.
